My name is Shane. Recently my wife and I decided quite on impulse to build a new house. We had outgrown our first house and had been thinking of buying a new one for a while. I love the house we live in now, dont get me wrong, but it's got us doing a pretty good imatation of sardines lately. So Susan and I have boon looking around for a bit, touring model homes and going at open houses. Thats how we found our builder.
Did you ever walk into a house and it just felt right? Thats what happened when we saw our builders model home for the first time. The inital process happened so fast that we more or less fell into it. We were taking a tour of the house the next thing I know we are talking about price and deciding on a construction schedule. The guys at the Tom McDermitt Company are great. They have been great at working with us and with our finance company, and most of all putting up with us constantly visiting the model. In any event we signed the contract and started the process. Along the way we discovered that there is a whole lot of reallllllly horrifyingly complicated decisions involved in building a house from scratch. I have decided to set up this website to keep all our family and friends in the loop and give them someone to laugh at. Susan and I will be adding images and notes along the way. The index to the left will let you quickly page through our adventures. So with no further ado but with a WOO and/or HOO here we go!!!!!!!!
